The 2nd-generation Bel Air made its debut in 1955, when it made quite the statement and set the stage for a very large following that continues to 68 years later. This car is finished in a two-tone burgundy red and pewter exterior with a black leather interior and wood grain accents. Rumbling beneath the hood is a 355 CID V8 that is matched to B&M Street & Strip TH350 transmission, with the power being transferred to the rear tires by way of a Quick Performance 9 rear end with 3:70 gears. Under the hood are some goodies like the Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads, Demon carb, MSD & Hedman! When the road gets twisty, youll be thankful for the Flaming River rack & pinion steering, upgraded bushings, the coil over suspension on the front corners, tubular A-Arms & 4-wheel disc braking, and for the full throttle acceleration, youll definitely appreciate the CalTracs ladder bars in the rear to stop the rear end from rotating thus eliminating that dreaded wheel hop! The details are endless, but some additional highlights are the aluminum radiator & electric fan, billet accessories throughout the engine bay, custom interior, custom Dakota Digital gauges & tilt steering round out the luxury category and really help tie together all the details on this car.
