The 1949 Mercury is a classic of American motoring with appeal from original vintage collectors to hot rod and custom builders the world over. A stalwart of design and performance when it hit the scene back in 1949, the mercury immediately garnered a rabid following. This 1949 Mercury Eight sedan is a great example of how these cars were new. Clean lines and choice accessories like the window visor and white wall tires plus very nice maroon paint - with only minor scratches and chips. Overall its very presentable for local car shows or just cruising around. An easy Cosmetic restoration or base for a full on custom build. The car exhibits no rot and has great chrome and no major leaks. The 255ci flathead V8 runs smooth ad the three speed manual transmission shifts well. The interior is finished in marron with cream accents and is rip and tear free. Overall this 1949 Mercury Eight Sedan is a solid, great running, late 40s car just waiting on a new owner.
