Seller's Comments

VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF AN ALL STOCK FORD SUPER DELUXE CLUB CONVERTIBLE! BELIEVED TO BE 92,545 ORIGINAL MILES! EXCELLENT OWNERSHIP HISTORY! THIS IS A PURE CALIFORNIA SURVIVOR WITH ZERO RUST! DRIVES AND LOOKS GREAT! Very low miles on a rebuilt 239ci Flathead 100HP V8 engine, 3-speed manual transmission column shift (three on the tree). Taffy tan exterior with brown and tan vinyl/cloth interior, and beige convertible top.. Excellent ownership history, sold new in California and purchased by the previous owner's father in 1988. The car was purchased as a gift to his wife who drove a 1947 as a teenager exactly like this one. Between 1988 and 1990 the engine was rebuilt, and the paint was cleaned up. The exterior and interior are mostly original, and the overall condition is very impressive. The car was driven occasionally between 1990 and 2000, and has spent most of the last 24 years parked in the garage. When i purchased the car I had my head mechanic, (who has over 45 years experience working on Flathead Fords, go through the entire car and replace anything and everything that it needed, to run and drive as per spec, and at a significant expense, the following work has been completed. New fuel tank and fuel sending unit, new electric fuel pump, new mechanical fuel pump, new fuel lines, new battery, drive belts, water pumps, radiator hoses, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor points, cap, and rotor, engine oil and filter change, front brake shoes and wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders, re-surfaced front brake drums, brake master cylinder, brake switch, front and rear brake hoses, re-packed wheel bearings, rebuilt carburetor. The car now runs and drives as it should, and it's only been driven 25 miles since all of the work was completed. Factory options and accessories include; dual sun-visors, deluxe push button AM radio, Magic Air heater, clock, interior light, windshield wipers, push button starter, stainless steel moldings, bumper guards, 15' wheels with chrome hub caps, and very old wide white wall tires. This 47 has never had any rust or bondo near it. The floor boards are solid, as are the trunk and rocker panels. The engine was rebuilt during the restoration , and has very low mileage. This is an excellent example of pure California ownership since new. This is a very nice, driver quality 1947 Ford, that's had over $10,000 spent as needed. THE PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP RADIATES THROUGHOUT! Cars of Particular Interest (CPI) shows
