2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

  • - Focus - I was previously very picky with cars with good interiors, but the Evo is so focused you just overlook all of those things and so does everyone else when you take them for a ride.
  • - Performance - goes hard.
  • - AWD system - phenominal! This coming from an ex-Audi Quattro driver (a new model too)
  • - Sound - it sounds like it's angry, I love it.
  • - Easily moddable - such a big market out there for Evo mods
  • - Robust - I've taken it to a couple of track days and most cars come out battered, this car can take it.
  • - Interior - functional and not a big deal because you know where the money goes. A better interior makes you forget what the car is about!

  • - Power/Transmission- torque feels like it's a direct connection to gas pedal
  • - Handling - best "non-electronic" handling balance
  • - Reliability - 1 cupholder and 1 seat motor replacement are only repairs
  • - Steptronic works great in Auto Mode, holds gears when it should, etc.
  • - Climate control - 100% effective - set at 70 degrees and never change it.
  • - Could be roomier
  • - Cupholder is unbelievably ineffective
  • - Steptronic is useless for actually shifting yourself

  • - -6 new programmable memory buttons
  • - -loveeee the sports seats, they really grab you especially with lumbar support
  • - -convenient controls, cupholders, and suprisingly simple iDrive set-up
  • - -iPod interface shows artists and songs on iDrive screen
  • - -cupholder that keeps your drink cool
  • - -orgasmic engine/exhaust note
  • - -gas mileage is prety good
  • - -great brakes
  • - -100% coverage for regular maintenance
  • - -best all-around combination of luxury, sport, prestige, performance, reliability, and looks
  • - -bluetooth sometimes doesnt recognize my iPhone
  • - -steering, while great, somehow seems slightly less firm than E46
  • - -can't close the moonroof screen all the way when the moonroof is popped up
  • - -not much storage space in center console
  • - -sedan styling seems somewhat cramped and less agile compared to the coupe
  • - -alott of pricey options
