I strongly urge everyone - especially women - to avoid the Nissan of Athens dealership. I was shopping for a used vehicle and had worked with a very nice salesman, Ruben, for a couple days. During the neg the Nissan of Athens dealership. I was shopping for a used vehicle and had worked with a very nice salesman, Ruben, for a couple days. During the negotiations I showed Reuben a cashiers check to disclosed my intention to pay cash. We finally reached an agreement on the “walk out the door” price. Both satisfied, we shook hands and signed the deal. I was bothered but chose to overlook when Leonard, the finance manager, walked in and introduced himself to my husband without acknowledging me. However, things got worse when Leonard continued to decline our already accepted cash offer, stating that the agreed upon price would now only be available if we financed through Nissan directly. I was surprised and pressed him for clarification, and was sorely disappointed when the only explanation he offered was blaming me for not reminding them during the process that I was paying cash. His terms were that I could only put down about 30% and would have to finance the remaining balance at 7.99% for 72 months. Even still, after some maddening back and forth, I finally agreed to pay $500 more for the car. While waiting on the paperwork I asked Leonard if I could speak to a manager about some concerns that I had about my experience. To be transparent: I had agreed to the higher price because I still felt I was getting a good deal, and although I wasn’t thrilled with how everything transpired, I would have left a happy customer with a simple “I’m sorry for the confusion/mistake, but we appreciate your business.” To my shock, the manager, Austin Cooper, refused to come see me. Instead, he sent Leonard back to relay to me: “if you feel like you are being treated unfairly you should leave.” While I understand my right to walk away, I felt it was incredibly rude to refuse to speak to a customer who is trying to spend almost $30,000 and asking only a moment of his time. I was further disappointed when Leonard defended their shady practices as well as Austin’s unwillingness to talk to me. “You don’t understand - he is a busy man and doesn’t have time for your complaints.” I left Nissan feeling disrespected, enraged and disgusted by the way I was treated. I urge others to consider spending their money where they will be treated as a valued customer rather than a nuisance. More

I purchased a vehicle although the sales was awesome however, the car was missing floor mats the car was on empty, and there was paint in the seats. I was told to return to get my gas filled up the pain however, the car was missing floor mats the car was on empty, and there was paint in the seats. I was told to return to get my gas filled up the paint to be removed out of the seat. also, to receive floor mats upon a coming back to receive those items, I was told no I could not get the floor mats and they would not remove the paint out of the seat to wear the manager of the detail even curse I was very upset to receive a car from a dealership with no floor mats where I had to go purchase my own, and the fact that he did not want to get the paint out of the seats. Therefore I would not return to Nissan of Athens for any of my business no oil change no maintenance. Nothing I will take my business elsewhere. More
